BIO

Sara Hassan Khani is a multidisciplinary artist and art educator based in Long Beach, California, where she received her Master of Fine Arts at California State University Long Beach in 2020. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tehran, Iran in 2015. Her practice explores the concepts of time and memory, the relationships between private and public personas, space, and the human form, and investigates nonlinear, abstract, and often ambiguous narratives.

She works across Drawing and Painting, Illustration, Printmaking, and Graphic Design and currently teaches at California State University, Long Beach as an adjunct lecturer. She has participated in multiple exhibitions in Southern California and Tehran. She is the recipient of multiple awards, including the John Baldessari Scholarship.
